Welcome

August 8th, 2008

Fourth grade is an exciting time in your child’s life. They have matured considerably over the summer and are ready to become more independent. Your child will make leaps and bounds this year both socially and academically. They are at the age where they want to be independent but still like to please the teacher. I am excited about the school year.

Take the time to look around.  The easiest way to find spelling words, daily assignments, Backpack Express newsletters, office papers, and the hot lunch menu is to search under the categories section.  Keep in mind that some categories will not show up until I put a post in them.

This web page is a work in progress.  Eventually I would like to have my students’ writing and class videos posted on this site. There are spots where you can leave comments under different posts. You would need your name and a valid email to do so.   I have also included links to other sites as well as homework helping sites.  As always, please feel free to contact me via email @ ewaugh@whitepineacademy.com

Thank you Mrs.Waugh for taking the time to do this! Not only is it environmentally responsible, it helps stem the tide of paper coming into our home. I loathe the clutter of the normal Friday folder. I hope that other WPA teachers follow your lead.

I really like this, all info in one place and not on my counter!

I would like to thank Mrs. Waugh for taking the time of this blog. I would also like to introduce myself and familiy. We are new at Whitepine. We are from Stockbridge, my daughter Alexas is in Mrs. Waugh’s class and her brother Jacob is in Ms. Hanson’s early 5 class. I am not currently working and Alexas’s dad is a civilian working in Iraq. He has been away from home since May of 08, he just returned back to Iraq 9/03/08 from r&r at home. We had a great time but it is still hard without him here. Thank you for letting me introduce us and I hope to meet some of the other parents and children. Thankyou-Laura

Just have to say that the Camp Hayo-Went-Ha was a blast!! I was so impressed when Sedona did the zipline! The activities were fun and there was even a chef who made some amazing meals.
